The Sunstate Academy is a Redken Premier School and has two locations in Clearwater and St. Myers, Florida. The school has been offering education in health, wellness, and beauty for more than 30 years. All the instructors at the school have had Redken professional training and salon experience so they can bring to their students real-world knowledge and techniques that will enable graduates to offer the best to their clients.

The Sunstate Academy offers a complete education in Cosmetology. Students are given a kit with all the tools in it that they will need for the duration of their education. Students will learn to work with both men and women and will learn haircutting, styling, perming, coloring, bleaching, facials, chemical waving, relaxing, straightening, scalp treatments, shampooing, manicuring, pedicuring, nail extensions, waxing, and makeup. A Barbering aspect to this program is also available.

The Nail Technician program at the Sunstate Academy educates students to become fully qualified manicurists. Students will learn how to perform manicures, perform pedicures, apply nail tips with acrylic overlay, apply sculptured nails using a form, perform nail wraps and mending, do fill-ins, remove artificial nails, apply polish, and apply nail art.

The Sunstate Academy also has a Massage Therapy program that educates students in theory and practical massage experience. When students are finished the program they will be ready to sit their National Certification Examination for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCETMB) and they will be prepared to work in any of the following settings: in spas, resorts or salons, for sports teams, on cruise lines, in chiropractic clinics, in wellness centers, in medi-spas, and in business offices.

Graduates are highly sought after by the Redken salons in the area and the school has solid relationships with these salons. When students graduate they will be fully prepared to work as qualified cosmetologists, nail technicians, and makeup artists. This leaves their career choices open to include all salons, spas, and nail salons. Students will also be prepared to open and run their own business.
