Fremont College is located in Cerritos, California and was founded in 1986. For students interested in massage therapy and sports and rehabilitation therapy, Fremont College is at the forefront of curriculum development and education.

The Massage Therapy program at Fremont College is a 775-hour program that meets the licensing standards set by the state of California. The program covers both Western and Eastern traditions of massage, including Swedish massage, shiatsu, and acupressure. These treatments and others can be used for whole body treatment in the event of a sports injury, to reduce stress levels, and to promote overall health and relaxation. Students in the Massage Therapy program receive theory and hands-on experience to ensure that they are ready to work in a spa or medical setting.

Students can also participate in a Sports and Rehabilitation Therapy program that will allow them to focus on treating sports and fitness injuries. Through knowledge of bio-dynamics, motion, and exercise you will be able to treat your clients and help them rehabilitate from injuries as well as help them prevent further injury in the future. Students in this program will have hands-on learning and will learn massage therapy techniques, which will allow them to gain real-life experience that they can then take into a clinical or spa setting.

When Fremont College students graduate from either of these programs, they are able to work in a variety of settings. Massage therapy students can work in spas, in a chiropractic office, any other type of wellness center, or they can run their own massage therapy practice. Sports and rehabilitation therapy students will be able to work in an office or clinic and treat sports injuries in athletes and they can also become a sports massage therapist, a rehabilitation massage therapist, or a spa manager.
