Esthetics students learn to recognize abnormalities in the skin and to treat them. They also learn to apply many treatments to the skin, such as cleansing agents, wraps, oils, and lotions, and they learn how to hold consultations with clients.

The Frederico Institute of Beauty also offers advanced training for qualified students. This training is facilitated by industry professionals and takes students beyond the basics, allowing them to specialize and improve their skills so that they can move into exciting and rewarding careers. Some students wish to become teachers and the Frederico Institute of Beauty offers an educator training program that is comprised of the 500 hours of course study needed to become a licensed trainer in the state of California.
