The Baltimore School of Massage is located in Linthicum, Maryland. Students who attend this school can graduate in as little as seven months and can then enter a career in massage therapy or esthetics that will allow them to work in the health and wellness field. The school, which has been operating for more than 25 years, offers esthetician and massage therapy programs.

The Professional Massage Training program is comprised of a 768-hour program that takes students through every aspect of massage therapy. Students learn the techniques and theory of both Western and Eastern methods of massage and this education includes learning basic massage theory and technique, the Eastern model of bodywork therapy that includes shiatsu and acupressure, and contemporary Western methods such as structural bodywork, trigger point therapy, rehabilitation massage, sports massage, and cranial sacral therapy.

The Esthetics program offers students the opportunity to learn the top techniques and theory behind skin care. The theory component teaches the study of the structure and function of the human body, body and facial treatments, dermatology, product chemistry, and product ingredients. The practical element of the program allows students to learn in detail how to apply basic facials and makeup as well as extensive waxing procedures, non-wax hair removal, and rapid exfoliants. Students only use the most up-to-date equipment in order to practice and gain experience.

Students who graduate from the Baltimore School of Massage are knowledgeable and experienced enough to work in spas, salons, and in the cruise and resort industry. The school has a Career Services department that helps students in their career decisions from graduation onward. In this way, students are always assured to have help in furthering their career and finding their dream job and graduates are in high demand from the top employers in the industry.
