Ashworth College is an online distance education program that was formed by the amalgamation of three separate schools: the Professional Career Development Institute, Ashworth College, and James Madison High School. Having three schools in one means more availability when it comes to educational choices. Ashworth College also offers a reasonable tuition because the college does not have the overhead costs of maintaining a physical school. Ashworth College offers a diploma program in both Massage Technique and Fitness and Exercise.

The Massage Technique diploma program allows students to learn the basics of massage and both Eastern and Western methods of massage. Their education includes a solid grounding in massage theory and human anatomy. Upon graduation, students will be prepares to work in a clinical setting as well as in spas, resorts, health clubs, and will be able to work with their clients in order to relieve aches and pains, alleviate stress, promote relaxation, and restore the body to optimal function.

The Fitness and Exercise diploma program will teach students how to design workout, conditioning, and personal training programs; create menus for weight management and energy maintenance; build flexibility; perform fitness evaluations; and they will also learn about weight training, sports nutrition, health risk testing, injury prevention, and much more. This program will prepare students to work in gyms, health clubs, wellness centers, and as a personal trainer.
